SUPPORT FOR THE VOCATIONAL SCHOOLS –HEART OF THE RENEWABLE ENERGY MARKET:
NORTHEL ENERGY DONATED PLC EDUCATION KITS TO AYVALIK VOCATIONAL SCHOOL!
Northel Energy donated PLC education kits to Ayvalık Occupational School, which it prepared for the Occupation Schools-an important momentum point for the market growth- so that they can raise qualified labor.
Starting its journey with the vision of “being a leading, pioneer and global brand” in Turkey in the renewable energy sector with its unique technology, Northel Energy assumes an important and innovative role with its local wind turbine applications up to 250 kW in the license-free renewable energy market.
In parallel with this vision, paying special attention to offer the necessary support for environmental and social projects, Northel Energy gifted 3 PLC education sets to Ayvalık Occupation School in March. Ayvalık District National Education Director Mr Erkan Bilen, Northel Energy Chairman of the Executive Board Cem Yalçın, school principal Mehmet Çakır and students also participated in the organization where the education kits were handed to the school administration.
Saying that occupational schools are one of the important sources to meet the need for qualified technical staff in the sector and that the education quality in these schools will also set the tone for the future human resources quality in the sector, Northel Energy Chairman of the Executive Board Ahmet Cem Yalçın stressed in his speech that the future generations will have a very important role to play in the advancement of the sector and occupational schools are essential when it comes to being a country which has the ability to create its own national brands in the renewable energy sector at the same time. The education kits prepared by the Ayvalık Occupational School teachers and Northel Energy technical team in a period of 4 months have a very wide range of application from wind turbine control to building, factory automations.
PLC devices will enable students to practice what they have learnt in theory.
WHAT IS PLC ?
PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) is a portable device which scans input information as fast as in milliseconds to produce corresponding output information close to real time results. It has a microprocessor inside which may be used in programming complicated systems.
Unlike general-use computers, PLC is arranged to have multiple inputs and outputs and designed to show more resistance against electrical data, temperature differences, mechanical impacts and vibrations. One of its important features is that data to be processed comes from real environment and results are sent to the real environment again as analogue or digital.

WHAT IS JIU JITSU ?
In Japanese “jui jitsu” means a softness technique. It is one of the traditional Japanese martial arts.
Taking an advantage from the rival’s momentum of attack, it is based on rendering the rival ineffective with techniques such as hitting, grabbing, throwing and joint locking. It requires a long term training which relies on a large number repetitions. Similar martial arts such as judo and aikido have been inspired from juijutsu techniques.
The entire fighting area including the warning area is known as the encounter scene. Even though some national and international tournaments are located in smaller six square meter fighting area, the majority is 10 square meter. In big encounters, the surface is made of “tatami”-a traditional straw-mat floor covering. Although joined straws are green, any color is suitable. Outside of big encounters, a single rubber mat may also be used at times.
